Roles of an entrepreneur
Information about team entrepreneurship
Being an entrepreneur alone is both old-fashioned and dull and fits with a “lonely rider” personality only, not really for an entrepreneurially oriented person. In contrast, team entrepreneurship is modern and fun and it also provides better preconditions for a growing and successful business. Team entrepreneurship is doing things together and sharing risks and responsibilities. Therefore the threshold for establishing or developing a company is significantly lower. As many other things, also entrepreneurship is easier, more fun and makes much more sense in a team.
The process of establishing a new company entails more work and responsibility than many might assume. Therefore the division of the tasks is better managed in a team. The company will face different new issues at the time of its establishment and therefore the ideal team consists of people with different background. The tasks are often divided so that they resemble with the background and interests of the people in the team. Knowledge is shared in a team and thus also people are able to learn from each other and perform in new interesting tasks.
Not all members of the entrepreneurial team need to invest the same amount of money or knowhow in the company. Instead, the ownership can be divided based on the efforts that the persons make. A recommended principle is that all the persons in an entrepreneurial team have an ownership of a company so that they have the needed incentives and motivation to develop the company.
Team entrepreneurship is especially a viable option for educated people. It provides the persons with a different career path outside regular work with a regular salary and it therefore provides also opportunities for the persons to realize their personal plans.
